Miami University's synchronized skating teams are spending their weekend in Providence, Rhode Island for the U.S. National Championships. The competitions begin Thursday, Feb. 21 and run through Saturday, Feb. 23.

The RedHawks have had a great start to their year. Most recently, the senior team brought home a third-place finish from the French Cup International in Rouen, France, which was Feb. 1-3. The senior short program placed third and the senior long program came in fourth.

While the senior team was overseas, the collegiate and junior teams traveled to Nashville, Tenn., where they successfully competed in the Midwestern Synchronized Skating Championships. Both the collegiate team and the junior team skated to first-place victories. The junior long program also brought a first-place finish and the junior free skate program came in first.

Following this weekend, the junior team travels to Rouen, France for the Junior World Challenge Cup. The competitions take place March 6-8.
